People who drive, do they really have a driving license?

People who drive, do they really have a driving license?
India is country where people are 24x7 busy. Everyone are in a hurry but no one reach their destination on time. What about the traffic rules? It’s fun to break the rules by driving haphazardly and in wrong direction. Bus drivers, auto drivers, private transport bus and bikers cause major concern. People walking on foot path are not safe at all; they are fretful because they are not certain whether they will came back home alive. I am also an Indian. What about me and my family, are we safe? What about the general public who live on footpath? What about the GHMC workers who clean the roads every day? Drivers now a days are least worried about people’s lives.

On 12th March 2016; me and my husband where taking our 7 months old son to the hospital at SR Nagar Hyderabad. We met with a minor accident near Gangaram which is about 3 KM away from our house. The road is very narrow; the Hanuman temple committee near Gangaram have recently raised a big wall and have occupied much space, where it’s problematic for the vehicles to pass. Our car was on the right on to our left was a private transport bus. The bus was empty and the driver was driving the vehicle in such a way that the road belonged to him. My husband continuously pressed horn, but all our efforts were going in vain, still the bus driver approached close to our vehicle. The unresponsive driver hit our car; our mirror was dashed to pieces, my husband instantly took a right turn, and by god’s grace we did not hit the divider on the highway. I asked my husband to overtake and stop the bus. All of us were in a shock. I took my son and got out of the car and began shouting at the bus driver; my husband went inside the bus and took the drivers mobile and asked me to get into car. To my surprise no one came for help. We searched for the traffic police who was on duty that time. We explained the whole event to the traffic police, then he called for the patrolling unit. The police arrived and they came to know that, it was bus drivers fault. The driver was drunk and was shaking out of fear. He gave us the compensation and the police asked us not to make this a big issue as it was a minor accident.

Very next day me and my husband could have met with another accident. We both were on scooty and where returning home from BHEL. My husband was driving close to the divider on the highway, still the TSRTC bus driver did not find enough space to drive the bus. There were no other vehicles on the road. He would have hit us. I guess the bus drivers are only able to see what is in front of them, and not on the sides or else they are sightless. Who is giving license to these drivers? License of these drivers should be cancelled immediately and should be punished.

Another incident a GHMC worker was killed by the TSRTC government bus on 21 march 2016. 10 lakhs compensation will be given to her family. What about the lady who lost her life, will 10 lakhs bring her back from death? No, right. What about the driver, did police take action against him? There are no strict rules in India; that’s is the reason why everyone are breaking it.

The people who come to visit India are in a shock to see such a bad traffic and are scared to cross the road. I am really ashamed of myself to be in India, were traffic rules are not obeyed. Hope things change in future.
