MY QUALIFACTION
Schools are
considered to be the basis for education for laying down pillars for future
studies. Teachers in schools are the “sun” where children are the “planets” who
revolve around the sun persistently and receive knowledge. Now a day it is compulsory
for the teachers in India to do B.Ed (bachelors in education). There are lots
of advantages for the students who go into education field. But there is a hurdle
when it comes to qualification alone. The education that one completes should
follow an order. I mean to say that if I choose biology during my schooling
then I will have to choose biology related subjects for my graduation then for post
graduation.
I am facing
a lot of difficulties presently due to my messy qualification, but it’s not messy
at all. During schooling I chose biology and then did my graduation in speech
language pathology and audiology. Then I did my masters on fine arts. Then I completed
bachelors in education for the subject’s biological sciences and English. Now the
question arises, what is the connection between the graduation and post
graduation on the topics that I have done? I face this question each and every
time.
Teaching and
making kids and adults who are differently abled is not an easy task, lot of
patience and time is required for the therapist to achieve a small short term
or long term goal. It is easy to teach children using multi sensory approach.
This can be achieved when they are taught using computers. There are many flash
programmes which help the kids to learn by seeing, hearing and the kids can
utter the word back using microphone, the computer tells the kid whether the
utterance is correct or wrong. More involvement is obtained when weigh against
to traditional oral teaching. It is better when compared to therapy kit. I love
to teach kids who are differently abled, it gives me happiness and satisfaction
when I achieve my desired goals and notice progress in them.
Now coming
on to my post graduation in fine arts, I chose animation and content management
as core subject. I can create different animations i.e. both 3D and 2D. I will
be able to create flash learning tutorial programmes where in I can use them to
teach normal and differently abled children.
For
teaching of course I need B.Ed. Teaching kids or sharing knowledge is something
which gives me more satisfaction. Hope the future generation kids, parents and recruiters
realize the fact that many courses are interrelated. It’s up to them to see the
connection and go forward without bearing doubt in their mind.
